Building an IBM 3270 terminal controller

There are a lot of old IBM terminals and other hardware available on eBay.  Some people are working to connect these to the modern world.  A terminal like this could be used with a mainframe emulator running on a PC, or to do line commands on a Linux workstation (VT100 mode).
