Finally hope for my forlorn Maxxum stuff

Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D Digital SLR Review

A dilemma for those of us who still have good 35MM cameras is the investment in lenses. flash units, and other accessories. A digital body from the same manufacturer can get us into modern photography but some brands, like the Minolta Maxxum, have only had very expensive professional bodies available until now. I'm very happy with our Sony DSC-W70 pocket camera & the larger Fuji Finepix S7000, but I miss being able to use my short & long zoom lenses.

One source of used 5D & 7D bodies is Amazon and of course there's always eBay.

The new line of Sony SLR digital cameras like their Alpha DSLR-A100 uses the Maxxum lenses. Sony bought Konica Minolta and has phased out the Maxxum line.
